Birthday Recap

Dellin had a great birthday. He really wanted BYU birthday balloons so that is what he got. He was thrilled to see them in the morning and loved them all day long.

The day started out with special (sugary) birthday cereal. We went to church and came home and had pancakes, eggs, and sausage for lunch. Then we had Colby and Maria over for dinner and cake and ice cream. We love having Colby and Maria close by. They have celebrated all our birthdays with us and we love it!

Since Dellin is obsessed with crocodiles, I attempted a "themed" cake. The theme was the Serengeti. They love National Geographic and the Serengeti special is their favorite. I don't think anyone is going to be hiring me anytime soon, but the boys loved it! Yes, those are wildebeests next to the crocodile, a mother and her baby. Dellin was completely mesmerized.

Dellin's got a couple small things and one major gift. He was intrigued from the start.

It took him a while to get going with the paper. Sterling Henry could hardly wait to see what it was.

Gouverneur was happy to be a part of the whole thing.

A Plasma Car was the last thing they would've expected. They hopped right on it, and off they went. Dellin's face in this picture is priceless.

The boys pushed Colby around. I love the team work here.

Maria got a ride as well.

Dellin got his own ride. Colby got quite a workout pushing Dellin back and forth. All in all, it was a fabulous birthday for our little Dellin. He is cute as can be.

He had his two year check-up today. Here are his stats.

Weight: 27.2 lbs. (40%)
Height: 36 1/4 inches (92%)
Head: 20 inches (95%)

Dellin is still long and lean and healthy as can be. Dr. Barakat was quite impressed with his speech.

We love you Dellin!

Guess who's two???

Dellin Parker Fillmore was born two years ago today.

He has been such a joy to our family and we can't imagine life without him. He is such a little character and keeps us laughing. Case in point.

He's been talking for a while now and his voice is beyond darling. At the begining of January he started saying, "I do it". He is much more independent than his older brother and wants to do every single thing on his own... Unless he's in a hurry and worried that he's missing out on something.

Dellin holds the sole role of older and younger brother. He is great at both. He wants to do everything that Sterling Henry does. They are best friends and they melt my heart numerous times a day.
He loves his baby brother Gouverneur and refers to him as "my baby". He loves to go get him up from naps and always notices when he's not in the room. I have a feeling that they are going to be great friends as well.

Dellin LOVES his binky. We have recently made the binky just for bedtime, naps, and in the car. It was a rough transition for everyone. He had that thing in his mouth 24 hours a day and only took it out to eat. Sometimes he tried to leave it in while eating. He just learned that he has pockets and thinks they are pretty cool.

Dellin is pretty much obsessed with all animals. His current favorites are alligators and crocodiles. They are all referred to as crocodiles, only he calls them crocodillos. We now refer to him as our little Crocodillo. Such a darling boy!
Dellin, we sure love you! You are a darling little boy with a fiery personality. You have an iron grip and can hold on to about anything. You have two brothers who absolutely adore you. Thanks for making parenthood so enjoyable. We love you our little Crocodillo!

Flat Fillmore

My niece sent us Flat Fillmore a few months ago and we've been taking her to see all the sites. Flat Fillmore is a Flat Stanley. I never did one of these in school, so we had a lot of fun with her.

We took her out at Christmas with us to see the National Tree.

We took her to the Lincoln memorial.

She wanted a closer look.
We took her to see the capital.

And the Washington memorial.

You can't come to D.C. without seeing the White House.

Since she was sporting a I heart DC shirt, we picked one up for my niece.

We had a great time with Flat Fillmore!

Our week...

Has been pretty low key, which I love. The boys helped dad make peach cobbler in the dutch oven. They had a blast.

The finished product. It turned out amazing. Dellin ate two whole servings. Sterling Henry wanted nothing to do with the peaches. I gladly ate the peaches for him. We make a good team.

I made a bunch of baby gifts and shipped them off. This one is for Ollie. His parents are HUGE football fanatics. (I found this idea on pinterest of course!)

We spent a good portion of the week in our pajamas. This picture was taken right before bed after the boys' bath. Dellin and Sterling Henry love their Grover and Elmo and are teaching Gouverneur to love his Cookie Monster. This picture is precious.

We had a great week!

On the move!

Gouverneur started crawling this week. It is pretty cute to watch. Crawling just shy of 8 months is right in the middle of his brothers.

Enjoy!

I told you it was cute!

7 and 1/2 Months.

Gouverneur is officially 7 and 1/2 months old and more darling than ever. He is growing up so fast and I wish I could just stop time for a while because he is such a sweet baby.

He smiles all day long.
He sleeps 12-14 hours at night with 2 naps during the day.
He is an eating machine. Formula and solids are his best friends as of late.
He is almost crawling.
He adores his older brothers, who love to "help" feed him small pieces of bread.
He is such a little snuggle bug.
He now sits in a highchair and loves it.
He cut 2 teeth just before Christmas. (I know this picture is not really that cute but I had to document.)
Thanks for being such a dream baby, Gouverneur. We are in l0ve with you in every way!

Our first Sunbeam.

Sterling Henry started primary this year and he couldn't be more thrilled. He has been talking about being a Sunbeam for weeks. He went in on his own, and didn't look back.

Here we are before church. So excited and so darling.

Dellin is not very thrilled about being in nursery by himself.

Such darling boys!

FATHER OF THE YEAR.

It snowed yesterday. It was our first real snow of the season and we loved it. When dad came home from work he skipped dinner and took the boys out to play in the snow. After singing "Frosty the Snowman" for the last 3 months, they finally got to meet him.
We only got about 2 inches and it was ALL used to make Frosty.

We came in and warmed up by the fire. Yes, our tree is still up. All other Christmas decor is put away but the tree will be up for a bit longer.
Now you can see why I married this guy. He is such an incredible father and husband. The boys are obsessed and we all know why.
