ONE MONTH OLD

ALREADY???


This tiny guy is the sweetest thing around town. We love him and have loved sharing in his first month of life. (He has a doctor's apt. on Tuesday so I will share his new stats then.)

SWEETLEAF BABY

I am one of those people who gives my babies a bath EVERY day. I know that there are different views as to whether or not you should, but there is no doubt in my mind. I LOVE it. I give them one every morning and then I smoother them in lotion.

I always have been a big fan of this...

But my all time favorite is this...


Thymes Sweetleaf Baby. It is the BEST smell in the whole world. My friend Ashlee gave it to me in a bath set for Sterling Henry and I have been obsessed ever since.


Dellin always sleeps amazing after his bath. Here is proof.

Even Sterling Henry can't resist giving him hugs all day. This one was obviously staged. But I do catch him all the time giving Dellin hugs when I'm out of the room. He really is a great big brother. (Dellin is still getting use to all the hugs.)
There is nothing better than snuggling with a sweet baby that smells like heaven.

24 HOURS OF GUY TIME

Sterling's oldest brother Parker and his two boys flew in yesterday and left today. They were here for 24 hours and we loved every second of it. Sterling Henry especially had a lot of fun with his two cousins.

I had to snap some pictures of Dellin being cute. He is such a sweet little cub and is such a joy to have around the house. (Adorable blanket and shoes courtesy of my sisters.)

That's why I love him.

One of the things I love about Sterling is that he hates being idle. He LOVES a good project. He wasn't able to do much while in law school but since then, he has been working a few different things.

Finding church shoes for Sterling Henry has been a bit of a trial as of late. I am not super picky but for some reason I couldn't find any that I liked at all. Sterling decided he would make some. He ordered some buffalo hide leather online, took apart a pair of his old Robeez, and started sewing. (For the record, because the leather is so thick, these babies are hand sewn.) The first pair he made were pretty cute but not super comfy.

He just finished these last week, and I LOVE them! And more importantly, Little Man loves them. Don't they look great???

One thing is for sure, we have two very cute boys!

Dellin is changing everyday. He still proves to be a dream child.

Sterling Henry is loving his little brother more and more each day.

MISSING MY MOMMA

I just got back from taking my momma to the airport and I am missing her already! Luckily, Snowmaggedon 2010 hit at the perfect time so we got to have her for four extra days.

Sterling Henry is going to miss her big time. They have been roommates for the last 2 1/2 weeks. She played trains, read books, fed him, changed him, sang to him, and loved him all day long.

Dellin is going to miss all the snuggling they did. Plus, who is going to save him from his older brother attacking him with "love"?!?

She is such a fun grandma and the best mom! I am not sure how we would have survived for the last 2 weeks without her.

SNOWMAGEDDON 2010

Snowmageddon 2010 has come and gone and we survived. It was predicted to be the biggest snow storm in history. We got about 24 inches which did not beat the record but was enough to keep us in doors and cancel church.

Dad and Little Man went out to enjoy the snow yesterday. Sterling Henry loved it.


He wanted to be in the snow every second. He wanted to touch it, eat it, or dive into it!

I ventured out today with Sterling Henry to watch dad clean the car off. I lasted about five minutes. Check out that snow behind us (and my sweet outfit).

Luckily we have this little cub to keep us occupied while we have been indoors. He gets sweeter by the minute!

Dellin is such a sweet little man. He is sleeping great and eating like a CHAMP! His little face is already changing.

One week older and wiser too.

I cannot believe that Dellin is already one week old. We have been having so much fun with this little guy!

He gets cuter by the minute!

It is a good thing we got the train set because Sterling Henry has been playing with it non-stop. Grandma builds some pretty sweet bridges. Sterling Henry burns them faster than we can build them. (Okay, he doesn't burn them. He just destroys them.)

I would say that our first week has been a success! We are loving these little boys.

Bringing home the bacon

We brought our new little cub home yesterday. He is a hit! We are now acclimating to life as a family of four. (Which is a lot easier with grandma here.)

Sterling gets to change him into his "going home" outfit. He is such a cute dad and does such a great job.

Here's our little snowball. He fits right in with all the snow we got on Saturday night.

The moment we had all been waiting for. Sterling Henry couldn't to come to the hospital because of the Great Swine Flu Outbreak of 2009. No kids under 18 were allowed so their first meeting was yesterday. We think it went rather well. Sterling Henry is not sure what to think about this kid. He doesn't seem threatened but he is in no hurry to get to know him either. This picture explains it all.

Sometimes we think he looks exactly like Sterling Henry and this shot is one of those times.
Last night went ok. The boys gave us a run for our money for a minute there but things quickly settled down. We LOVE having two boys in the house. Dellin is doing really well. He is eating like a champ. He is the SWEETEST little boy. We consider ourselves very blessed to have him home safe and healthy.
