A NEW ME!

So I have had about 7 weeks of bad hair, with a few good days here and there. Bad enough to the point of being embarrassed to tell people that I actually do hair. So I decided to go back short. Why was I even holding on to the dream of long hair anyway?? Ok so I did have a reason. Last summer when my family went to Mexico, my hair was short and it drove me nuts. So I decided to grow it out so that this summer when we go to the beach in South Carolina I could pull it up in a ponytail. What was I thinking? Who cares how it looks for one week at the beach? What about the rest of the year?
Sort of a vain post but thought I would share my new hair with you! (Especially because I am doing such a sweet model pose!)

Spring Break!

This past week was Sterling's spring break and although we both still had to work ...we still managed to have some fun! On Wednesday we drove about 2 hours southeast of us and went to Stratford Hall Plantation. This was the family plantation home of Robert E. Lee. The house was beautiful and HUGE.

This was the outside kitchen where all the meals would be prepared. They would have the main kitchen in a separate building so if it went up in smoke...the main house would be safe.
This was a random little cabin on the property. I am convinced if we lived back then, this is probably were we would be...but happy!

We also visited the birthplace of George Washington. It was right on the water.
This is where the original house was. They found this foundation after they built a replica of where they thought the house was...about 100 feet away from where we were standing. At least they have the real foundation!
This is Pope's creek. It is right on the property and makes for a beautiful view!

We had such a great time going to visit these two places. One of the best things about being married to Sterling is how much he LoVeS history! He is so fun to go places with because he is my own little tour guide. Even better that we live in an area that is so rich with things to see.
That's our trip....

MY ADORABLE HUSBAND!!!

Here are some action shots from Sterling's recent hunting trip!!!

What a HOTTIE!!!

Movie Review

I just got home from the most fantastic movie and I highly recommend to anyone looking for some good, wholesome entertainment! Last September I saw a preview for the movie Penelope and wanted to see it but was disappointed when I realized that it wasn't coming out till now. Anyway, I finally got to see it and LOVED it! It was completely entertaining in every way AND it was rated PG. So for all you out there who are sick of all those movies that were sooooo good except "that part", this is the movie for you!
Christana Ricci played Penelope and she was adorable. She had the cutest wardrobe the entire show....and a pig nose, which was the plot of the whole show.

James McAvoy was probably the reason why I loved it so much. He is so adorable and a fabulous actor. He was great in Becoming Jane and was equally amazing in Penelope. I am almost tempted to see Atonement just to see how he is in that...

Let's not forget Simon Woods...does anyone know what else he was in...anyone??? Ok if you weren't sure, I'll tell you...MR. BINGLEY... ring a bell? He was Mr. Bingley in the most recent Pride and Prejudice. He was not as charming in Penelope but all the same it was fun to see him in something else.

Oh and let's not forget Reese(we are on a first name basis). She had a smaller role than I was expecting but was fantastic as usual. She also produced the movie which is a useless fact that I enjoyed knowing.

Hope you all like the movie!
