Last night....

(this was not the invitation)

...we had a shower for our friend Jessica. It was so much fun! She is having a boy and is due in three weeks. It got me so excited for our baby. The boy theme, colors, all the cute clothes, EVERYTHING! I haven't really bought anything for the baby because I have been trying to hold out...not after last night! I am totally ready to shop!

VISITORS!!

Our friends Dave and Mel were in town last weekend, with their two cute kids. They live in New York and we can't wait to go see them this fall. I had to work on Saturday and missed the big air show at the Air Force Base(I have always wanted to see an air show ever since I saw the movie Girls Just Want To Have Fun). Luckily, I am married to Sterling who gave me such a great play-by-play with pictures, that I felt sort of like I was there!

Here is the Memphis Bell and the Blue Angels (below). Pretty cool huh??
Sterling had a great time. One of the main things I love about him is how he loves to get out and do stuff!
On Sunday night we went up to Great Falls and walked around. It was a gorgeous night!

BRING ON THE BLUE!!!

It's a BOY and we couldn't be more thrilled! We didn't really have our hearts set on either but are very happy that we are having a healthy baby boy. Sterling is as excited as any soon-to-be father could be. I am ready to have a house full of Legos, trucks, dinosaurs, cars, trains, and oh wait, my husband already has most of that stuff! YEAH!!!

HERO CHAT!!!

One of the best things about serving in the young women is the leaders that I get to work with. I work with the most amazing people! The girls are also so much fun.
We have been trying to help the girls get committed to finishing the Book of Mormon. So...we thought of this great activity called Hero Chat. We had five different heroes from the Book of Mormon come and they were interviewed by our lovely host Becky(who also pretty much wrote and put the whole thing together). It was such a great activity!!!
This is the fabulous Becky, who was our lovely host and was the mastermind behind the whole evening!
My adorable husband was Alma the Younger and he was definitely in his element if you can't tell!
Here are the "Heroes" all lined up. We had Mormon, Captain Moroni, Alma the Younger, Nephi, and the Brother of Jared. They all did such a great job and the girls really seemed to enjoy the night!!!

I am finally obsessed....

....with the cast of Twilight after watching the new movie trailer here.
It looks a tad bit scarier than I had imagined. I do feel that Robert Pattinson is going to be able to pull off a pretty good Edward. What do you all think????

Sunday night walks...

...we LOVE to go on walks, especially in the evening. We usually drive into DC and walk around the monuments. Today was perfect! It was nice and cool but not at all cold, with a slight breeze. We also caught this beautiful sunset(the picture is not doing it any justice!).We especially have to take advantage of walking in this nice weather before the humidity attacks us!!!!
