Thanksgiving!!!

Our friends Matt and Eliza has us over for Thanksgiving yesterday. We went to their house last year as well and love the tradition we have started! We always enjoy getting together with friends...especially on holidays. They are our family away from family!

Sterling and Ida were born just three days apart. It will be great as they get a little older and can play together!!

I made rolls, a squash dish, and pies this year. The rolls were a hit, thanks to Sterling's orange frosting, the squash was a bust, and the only thing good about these pies was how they looked! The chocolate pecan one never set and the apple could have used more flavor...oh well. There's always next year!!!
Matt makes the best turkeys! He also does a fabulous job carving them!
I thought I would show last year's turkey so you could see just how great his turkey's turn out! And, I think it's hilarious that we take a picture of Matt with the turkey...
We had to take a little family photo. It was so much fun to have little Sterling Henry around this year! If there is one thing we are truly thankful for, it is our sweet little boy. What a huge blessing he has been in our lives!

I thought I would put up last year's picture for a few reasons. First of all, I wore the exact same outfit. I like to call this my "holiday outfit". Although this year it was a bit more snug! Second, we look so lonely without out little man. And lastly, I am debating cutting my hair...what do you think???

We hope you all has a wonderful Thanksgiving as well!

WHAT DID YOU THINK????

Despite some of the cheesy special effects, I LOVED the Twilight movie. I was completely entertained the whole time and really pleased with how it turned out. I went with a big group of girls and we had a great time (first time I have been away from my baby for more that one hour). One of the most annoying parts was this group of women at our theater who were laughing non-stop at everything...not even the funny parts. I was ticked! They were driving me crazy.

When they first announced that Robert Pattinson would be playing the role of Edward Cullen, I wasn't sure if he could pull it off. After seeing the movie, I cannot imagine a more perfect fit! He was fabulous! He has the most unbelievable hair!!!
I also thought that Kristen Stewart did an amazing job as Bella! I love the guy who played Charlie. Jacob Black grew on me by the end as well and the girls who played Jessica...LOVED her! She was PERFECT!!!

Did you see the movie? What did you think???

6 WEEKS!!!

I cannot even believe that it has already been 6 weeks since our little man joined the fam. He has been such a blessing and SOOO much fun to have around the house. In the last week he has started smiling all the time. We are having a ball with this little guy!!!

Little Sterling has been able to hold his head up like this since the first week we brought him home. He loves to look around during tummy time!

I thought this picture was a crack-up how he has in hands above his head. He is growing so fast...look how long he is!!!

He LOVES to snuggle with us. I cannot even get enough of our little man!

Did I mention that he slept from 12-7 last night???? I forgot what seven hours of sleep feels like!

NEED A GOOD CRY???

About once every other month, I just have to watch Little Women. I LOVE this movie for so many reasons. Every time I watch it, I cry in the same three parts: When Beth recovers after Marmee gets home, when father Marsh comes home, and of course when the professor proposes to Jo.

One of the main reasons I love it is because there are four sisters, like in my family. The sisters are so close, just like me and my sisters. I was talking with Marilee on the phone yesterday and she mentioned that she had just watched Little Women and how much she loved it. I had just watched it the day before and LOVED that we were watching it just days apart, crying at the same parts.

Sisters are the best!!!! I am lucky enough to also have four fabulous sister-in-laws. My brothers picked out wonderful wives who I love so much. Good work boys! I haven't even mentioned the amazing women in Sterling's family, I am too lucky.

MY BOYS...

Living in a house with all boys is more fun than I ever could have imagined! My boys LOVE to spend time together. Baby Sterling loves to study with his dad...

He also likes to nap with dad...

We have been taking walks around the neighborhood! It is so fun to walk with Sterling in the Bjorn!
The leaves are absolutely gorgeous here right now! This is the view from our bedroom window. Fall might be my favorite season in Virginia!

Life is going just great for us. We are having such a great time with our little boy! He is starting to get serious amounts of chub on his thighs....love it!!! He is also starting to smile lots more. We can't wait for you all to see him!

4 WEEKS OLD!!!

Our little man is 4 weeks old today! I cannot even believe how fast time flies!!

This was his outfit that he wore to church on Sunday. Who can even stand how cute he looks in that adorable vest???(Thanks Becky)
The outfit did come with a hat but we decided it was a little overboard!
These past 4 weeks have been pure bliss!

THANKS TO ACORN....

...even little Sterling got to vote today!!!

I always feel so American after I get done voting. This election has been so exhausting. So much is on the line. Like most of you, I will be on the couch tonight (watching the only channel we get), waiting for the results!
