Baby G turns 6 months.

Gouverneur is 6 months old. If I could pause time right now I would. My boys are all at such darling ages and Gouverneur is angelic. He laughs and smiles all the time. His two older brothers are great helpers so he gets lots of attention. He still hates solid foods but we are going to keep trying.

Over the weekend he had his first ear infection. He was up all night Friday night and then was back to sleeping on Saturday after his antibiotic kicked in. Even with an ear infection, he was still darling and sweet, just wanted to be held. Any really, we love holding him so it worked out great!

Here he is with his blanket from Grandma Fillmore. She knits one of these for all the grand kids and my boys LOVE theirs.

I took Gouverneur in for his 6 month check-up today and he is nice and healthy. He smiled non-stop for the doctor.

His 6-month stats.
Weight:15 lbs. 11 oz. (25%)
Height: 27 1/2 inches. (90%)
Head: 17 1/2 (75%)

I thought I would compare Sterling and Dellin's as well at 6 months.

Sterling Henry
19 lbs. 14 oz.
28 1/2 inches

Dellin
17 lbs. 13 oz.
28 inches.

Sterling Henry was a serious chunker at 6 months. I thought Dellin was tiny compared to him but he looks pretty big next to Gouv's stats. They are all pretty close in height but the weight part is hilarious. Sterling was completely on formula by 6 months and eating lots of solid food. Dellin was mostly breast milk with formula bottles in the evenings and some solids. Gouverneur is 100% breast milk.

One thing is for sure, they're all darling and I'm one lucky momma!

Thanksgiving 2011

We had such a great Thanksgiving this year. We were lucky enough spend it with our good friends Matt and Eliza and their family. They came over to our house and brought most of the food with them. It was a pretty sweet deal all around if you ask me. Here's some of the spread.

Matt is a turkey professional. The turkey this year was absolutely amazing.

Here he is Matt with the turkey in 2008.
And 2007. We are lucky to live by Matt so he can cook the turkey for us each year.

We used our china we brought back from England two summers ago.

After dinner, we sat around and talked and let the kiddos play. The day was perfect. Here are Matt and Eliza. (Thanks for saving our Thanksgiving!)

We did puzzles. Ok so mostly just Robbie and Babs but the my kiddos did their best to destroy the puzzle which is why I say we.

The kiddos had lot of fun.
They spent lots of time in the backyard.

The dads supervised.

Eliza and I like to have babies around the same time. Gouverneur and Lars are just three weeks apart. (Doesn't Eliza look darling btw?!?)

I love taking pictures of the kiddos side-by-side.

Here is Sterling Henry and Ida three years ago. They are just 8 days apart.
We had a great Thanksgiving. Thank you Matt, Eliza, Hannah, Robbie, Babs, and Harry for joining us and sharing your family with us.

WE LOVE DINOS.

I think it's safe to say that we have a thing for dinos over here. The boys are obsessed and we love it! A few months ago I sent Sterling into Walmart to get a wiffle ball/bat and he came out with two bags overflowing with these awesome dinos. The boys play with them every single day.

They get hauled around.
They get set up for a "block party."

They get strapped onto remote control cars for races.
I think the dinos have almost as much fun as the boys do. Dad included.

I ordered this print a few months ago for the boys room . Quite fitting I think.

We love our boys. And we love our dinos.

MY OWN PAUL BUNYAN

Whenever Sterling does anything, he does it big. The bigger the better, the more the merrier, you get the point right?!? You'd think I would know this about him by now. The other day he told me he wanted to get some firewood for our fireplace for the winter. I had visualized a couple of these guys.

Little did I know he was thinking more along these lines. A dump truck was used to transport this pile.

My husband seriously rocks! I think we are set for the winter. And probably the next ten winters!

Map

As if blogs weren't bad enough, now I have pinterest to inspire me for projects. I have hundreds of projects I would like to make with all my free time... Ha!

I saw this a month ago and decided to make one of my own.

If seemed easy enough since I have plenty of scrap material. All I had to buy was some heat n bond and everything else I had. Even the board that I am hanging it on. I love how it turned out. I will admit that the northeast was an absolute pain. I do have a new appreciation for the shape of each state.
There were a few tiny islands that I just couldn't make work. Don't look too close at Hawaii and Alaska.

I think I will steer clear of any projects with teeny tiny pieces for a while...

Delli-one

Dellin is such a little darling. He is talking so much, in full sentences. He's only 21 months and comes up with some pretty good material, like, "More pancake, please mommy!" or "Don't push me, Sterling."

He starting saying "Delli-one" a few months ago. "Delli-one" is the way he refers to anything that is his. If you are holding his blanket, it's "Delli-one". If he wants a bite of what you are having, "Delli-one." He also says, "mommy-one," "daddy-one," "baby-one," and "Sterling-one." He's started saying "me" and "mine" lately, so "Delli-one" is probably not going to be around for long. But we are loving it while it lasts.

The best part about Dellin talking is his voice. He has such a sweet little voice. It's the cutest voice ever.

He also loves to read and to be read to.
He couldn't get enough of the snow we got last weekend.
He spends hours playing in a laundry basket. He loves his "boat."

We love our Delli-one!

The Gouverneur

I am just absolutely loving this baby boy. I mean look at the cherub. Isn't he darling?!?

He basically smiles and laughs all the day long. He eats great and sleeps like a dream. He must want a younger sibling soon because he is making it pretty easy to want another one. (I'm not announcing anything don't worry.) I cannot imagine not spending every second with this guy and feel so lucky to be able to do so.

He LOVES his feet. He can be found doing this most of the day! It's a great party trick I think.

We love you baby Gouverneur!

Halloween 2011

Halloween was a lot of fun at our house this year. My sister helped me come up with the boy's costumes. (Thanks Becky!)

Lions, and tigers, and bears! Oh, my! I loved coordinating them this year and will definitely do it again next year. Here we are dressed up for our ward Halloween party.

Our little lion. This costume is way too small for him (long story), but he still looks darling!

Dellin is just too cute. He loved being a tiger.

Little Man wore this same costume 2 years ago. Such darling boys.

Our ward Halloween party might have been the coolest party of the year. I was Dorothy and Sterling was a pirate (another long story). It was hard getting a picture of the boys because there was way too much to look at.
I mean look at these decorations. Amazing.

Here we are right before we took the boys trick-or-treating. Dellin was a little mad because Gouverneur kept grabbing his pumpkin. I love this picture.

We went up the street and back but the kids make a haul. The boys immediately dumped their candy into their trucks and pushed it around.

We also got snow over the weekend. Only a couple of inches and it melted fast. But it was here.

We naturally had hot chocolate!
It was a great Halloween this year. I am already thinking about next year...
