EASTER EGG HUNT AND VISITORS = FUN

This morning we had an Easter party with an Easter egg hunt. It was so much fun. The weather was absolutely perfect and the kiddos had a great time. (Dellin actually slept through the whole thing but that was fun for him.)

I wasn't sure what Sterling Henry was going to do at the hunt but he caught right on and started going after the eggs. I loved it.

Here are a few action shots.

Spring is probably one of my favorite times of year. The trees are blooming all over the place here, and it's absolutely beautiful.

My Aunt Suzanne and Uncle John are also in town. We met up with them today and walked around Arlington cemetery. We are going to see them again tomorrow, and I'm looking forward to it. (The tulip trees are probably my favorite.)

My Aunt Suzanne is my dad's sister, and she's a lot of fun. When Sterling and I first started dating, we drove to California and spent Thanksgiving at their house. It is fun to have them out here.

To top-off an already perfect week, we leave to Utah in 2 DAYS. WAHOO!

SATURDAY IS A SPECIAL DAY!

The boys and I really look forward to the weekend because that means dad is going to be home. Let's face it, it is just more fun for everyone when dad is around. Sterling Henry is OBSESSED with his dad. It use to hurt my feelings a little, but now I find it endearing.

This weekend we set out on our seemingly endless pursuit of finding a suit for Sterling. We went up to Gaithersburg, Maryland and then over to Leesburg, Virginia. The easiest way between those two is using White's Ferry across the Potomac River. It's a historic, tiny ferry that saved us a good 30 minute drive, not to mention it was fun!

We waited in this line for about 5 minutes.

We drove on the ferry and off we went. Sterling Henry was intrigued by the whole experience. Who knew you could drive on the river?

We made it to the other side in about 10 minutes.

The ferry unloaded, reloaded and was on it's way back to the other side in no time at all. These guys are making money!

Although the sun was shining brightly, it turned out to be a chilly day. After a necessary outfit change, Dellin was left with nothing warm to wear. We bought this green hoody while we were out, and he looked like such a little dude. He was a lamb the entire day.

We did find Sterling the perfect suit. We would have considered it a perfect day if Sterling Henry had not started throwing up on the way home. Poor little guy. He is on the mend and now has the cleanest car seat around town.

Day trips are a lot more fun in our new van. It was great to have lots of space, especially when the throwing up started...

8 is great!

Dellin is 8 weeks old today and cuter than ever! He is smiling all the time, EXCEPT when I try to take a picture of him. I keep trying to get his smile on camera but he is not ready for the world to see it yet. He must know he is irresistible.

He is lucky enough to have an older brother who loves him most of the time. Sterling Henry is pretty good about helping Dellin with his binky... as long as he has his own.

We love our boys.

WE LOVE GIFTS!

On Monday we received a very exciting package. My adorable nieces Emma and Eliza made some gifts for Dellin.

Eliza made this adorable quilt. She sewed it all by herself. It turned out amazing!

Dellin loves to lay on it. He napped on it yesterday and LOVED it!
Emma made the cute Noah's Ark bib. We can't wait to use it!

Thanks girls for being so thoughtful and sweet. Thanks Jen for being such a fun, patient mom.

2 Big Announcements

1. I am pregnant.

2. We bought a minivan.

Ok so I am not pregnant, but we did buy a minivan.

It only took us four months of non-stop looking.

We are happy to have a 2nd car and LOTS of space.

We will miss taking dad to and from work.

LOOK WHO'S TALKING!

Sterling Henry has turned into quite the chatter box as of late. He says so many new words each day. He particularly loves making animal noises.

I am loving this stage. Ok so I love every stage!

The boys LOVE their grandparents.

Sterling's parents have been here for the last week and we have been having the best time. We mostly hung out around the house playing Legos and trains and reading lots of books.

3 generations of Fillmores.

The boys LOVED having their grandparents here. This morning when Sterling Henry woke up, he ran out to the front room and kept looking for grandma.

We ate at this Chinese restaurant while they were here.
Thanks for coming mom and dad. We LOVED having you here and miss you already. We look forward to seeing you again in a few weeks!

LOOK WHO IS ALREADY 6 WEEKS OLD!

My favorite photographer Andrea has done it again. She always is able to capture the cutest shots of my boys. These are from Dellin's newborn shoot and they turned out amazing!

ENJOY.

Dellin continues to be the best little baby. He is awake more and more during the day. He smiles more often and continues to sleep longer and longer at nights. Sterling Henry loves him and so do we.

He is a DREAM baby.

Sterling Henry is a great big brother. He loves to give Dellin lots of hugs and kisses.

He is constantly watching out for him.

We finally snapped a family picture of the four of us. It only took 5 weeks but we have one.

TIME FOR CHURCH

We took Dellin to church yesterday for the first time. It was nice to get out of the house and be back at church.

Here are the boys before church.

Dellin was a lamb for the whole 3 hours. I think Sterling Henry liked showing his new little brother off to all his friends.
