Gouverneur is 9 months old already and breaking our hearts. He is growing up way too fast. He is such a darling baby boy.

9 MONTH STATS

Weight: 19 lb.s 12 oz. (40%)
Height: 29 inches (85%)
Head: 18 1/2 inches (90%)

He has 3 official teeth and 2 more that just popped up this week.
He says, "mama" and "dada". Not sure if he realized how important those words are yet.
He has a smile on his face all the time.
He loves all food.
He loves to wrestle with his older brothers.
We call him "The Gouverneur". Dellin calls him "my baby".
He is starting to be a daddy's boy. No surprise there.
He is pulling up on everything now and liking the world from his new higher view.

We love our little Gouverneur. He is such a joy to have around. We are so happy he is part of our family forever!

Fossil Dig.

We went on another fossil dig. We went to the same place and found lots more teeth and other cool fossils. We're sort of obsessed and can't wait for the weather to warm up a bit more so it can be much more enjoyable.

Although it was really sunny up by the car, it was freezing down on the beach. We took turns hanging out with the boys. The boys were content as long as they had sticks to play "the tossing game." They made it up!

Gouverneur all bundled up.

Dellin is getting so big these days. He is such a cutie.
I mean check out that face. I had to include this picture of Sterling Henry wearing the exact same coat and hat. He is about 6 months younger in this picture but they are definitely brothers.

I can't wait to see Gouverneur in this outfit next winter!

Fire Stations #6

Our Joy School group does an outing once a month. This month we went to the fire station. We have never been before and my boys absolutely loved it. We got to see the whole fire station, we watched some one slide down the pole, got to tour a fire truck, saw a real hook and ladder truck, and saw some real firemen. The whole experience was awesome.

The boys were real concerned that an alarm was going to go off, so they spent a good part of the tour covering their ears.

Dellin walking through the truck. He looks real official with his hat and binky!

Fireman Travers was our guide and he put on all his attire to show the kids what they wear. The boys really like it!
Sterling and Dellin hanging out on the back of a truck.

I think Gouverneur even liked the tour. He was happy to get his own hat at the end!
I have a whole new appreciation for firemen. Their sole purpose is to save lives, that's pretty selfless. I now want all my boys to be firemen for Halloween this year!

Park Day

The weather has been insanely warm out here and we're loving it. We have spent the last two afternoons at the park and have literally stayed till dark. We're pretty lucky to be surrounded by so many fabulous parks. Now that we had a backyard, we do spend a lot of time there, but it's still fun to meet friends at the park.

I use to never allow my boys to play in the sand. What was I thinking?!? It now keeps them entertained for hours.

Baby swings are always a favorite. All three of my boys love them.

This was Gouverneur's face the whole time. Can you even take it??? He is so darling!
The key is bringing enough food and snacks to count towards dinner so the kiddos don't melt down in the car on the way home. I learned the hard way the first day.

Valentines Day.

We had a great Valentines Day yesterday. I sure am lucky to have four handsome Valentines.

We started out with a special Valentines breakfast. My mom use to do this when I was little and I loved it. I made french toast with strawberries and cream, and sausage. The boys loved it!

Then the boys gave dad his Valentine.

We got crafty this year.

The boys were really excited to open their Valentines.

I made these dino hoodies for the boys. I've been wanting to make these for a while, so Valentines Day was a good excuse.
They wore them all day. Dellin even napped in his. I have to admit that they exceeded my expectations of cuteness.

Sterling gave me these gorgeous flowers and the cutest card EVER. I really am a lucky girl!
I made Chicken Parmesan for dinner and then we had Molten Chocolate Cakes for dessert. We have these every year. Go make them now if you've never had them. I use this recipe. Such a great day to share with my boys.

TOO FAST.

Sterling Henry is growing up too fast and it's breaking my heart. He is almost 3 1/2 and such a big boy. He is a fabulous little helper. He is quite a conversationalist and keeps us laughing most of the day. He says the most enthusiastic prayers and always surprises us with things he is "thankful" for. He is a great example to his little brothers and they absolutely adore him. This doesn't mean he is an angel all the time of course, but he is pretty darn close!

I snapped these pictures a few weeks ago when we were in DC. Potomac River.

We love you, Little Man.

Shark Teeth

As I've mentioned before, our boys are completely obsessed with sharks, crocs, and dinosaurs. Lately we have been talking with the boys a lot about fossils. Sterling Henry has really got into it and often times picks up a piece of wood or a rock and says," Look mom, a fossil!" We decided to go on a real fossil trip. We (Sterling) did some research and found that there are lots of places to go near our house. We had out Saturday morning and had a great day.

It was a pretty cold day, so we were about the only ones on the beach which was nice. We found our first shark tooth within about 30 minutes. By that point, Dellin had fallen in and was completely drenched. I headed back to the car with Dellin and Gouverneur. Sterling and Little Man kept looking and hit the jackpot.

I came back with the camera found the boys looking dang cute together.

Little Man is holding up their newest find. He loved helping dad and spotted a few on his own.

Dellin was happy to be back in the car, dry and eating.

Here are the boys with our findings. They LOVED the whole experience.

A picture of all the shark teeth. These babies are millions of years old. So crazy!
Here's all our finding. The other pieces are bone and a few other things that we aren't quite sure about yet.
We will definitely be doing this again. It's fun to do things that the kids are really interested in. Good thing my husband rocks at fun boy stuff!
