Poor little lamb.

Little Man hurt his arm on Thursday night. We are not sure when it happened exactly but in his own words, "Dad spanked me". That is exactly the answer you want to give when you end up in the ER early in the morning.

We have an apt. with a pediatric orthopedic in a few days to see if it is broken or not. Until then, he has a soft cast and a sling.

Here he is at 7am after being up all night crying and then to the ER for three hours.


This was our first trip to the ER and hopefully our last for a while.

5 MONTHS AND RICE CEREAL.

Gouverneur is 5 months old. We decided to try some rice cereal.

He was really excited about the whole thing.

He made this face the whole time. I think we will wait a few days to try this again.

We are just loving this little boy. He is so darling. He has been the happiest baby.

Cox Farms 2011

We went to Cox Farms last week and had a blast. It happened to be one of the busiest days of the season but was still really fun. My favorite part of Cox Farms is the tractor ride. It is so cheesy and awesome. The aliens jumping out are by far the best part. I don't know who planned this, but words don't do it justice. The pictures of the presidents in the background is pretty awesome too.

Sterling Henry was a little freaked out for the rest of the ride. Naturally.

Dellin had a great time watching everything. He sort of liked the aliens... great.
This little train area is always a hit. It is right next to the bin of free apples and apple cider. I like to stay real close to the free apple cider. It's delicious!

The little boys just hanging out. Gouverneur slept most of the time. Dellin was happy as long as he had something to munch on.

The slides here rock! The lines were unfortunately long so we didn't get to do as many as we would have liked.

This one freaks me out but I put on a brave face for the boys.

They have lots of animals to see. This pig was probably the biggest pig anyone has ever seen. It was awesome. Sterling Henry and Braddock liked it.

Picking out our pumpkin at the end is always fun. Little Man was quick picky this year.

Here we are completely exhausted and ready to go home!
I really love Cox Farms. I thing next year we will go earlier in the month to avoid the crowds.

We've been hanging out a lot lately.

In the baby seat that we are clearly too big for.

And on our new rocking horse we picked up on the street the other day. People throw out the most amazing things sometimes. I plan on re-painting it when I get a minute... Haha!

Life is pretty good around here!

BIG BOY BED

We moved Little Man into a big boy bed and it is sort of breaking my heart. He is growing up so fast and I can't make it stop.

First night. I was gone so dad documented it for me. (He is the best!)

He picked out Cars sheets. I plan on making a cute quilt but will probably just buy one.
He loves his bed and only falls out once a night. Good thing we are leaving it on the floor for now!

Someone is a big boy.

Someone is officially a big boy and proud of it! We have been talking up potty training for the last 2 months. We bought big boy underwear one week before the big day and he carried them around non-stop.

He turned three on Sunday and we started Monday.

We had lots of potty treats. Sterling got three every time, and Dellin and I each got one. This was a group effort.

We spent lots of time around the house all week so unfortunately we watched more shows than normal. I never got tired of this view from behind. What a big boy!
We only had two minor accidents, but I think he is there... Fingers crossed! He really is such a big boy and such a good older brother. We sure love our Little Man!

Little Man turns 3

Our Little Man turned 3 and we still can't believe it. We had a full weekend of celebrating.

We started things our right by having cookies at the park with some friends. It turned out to be a beautiful day. It was really low key and fun. Dad ditched work for the morning and joined us.



I sent dad to the store to pick up balloons and naturally he came home with BYU balloons. Little Man was thrilled.
His actual birthday was on Sunday. The birthday boy requested pancakes, eggs, and sausage, so that's what he got.
It's a good thing his birthday was on a Sunday because there are few things he loves as much as church and nursery. It made the day even more fun.

We came home from church and had Colby and Maria over for his birthday dinner and cake.

When did he grow up so fast?

Dellin is our eater. He eats more than the other two combined. He loved brother's birthday cake.
We pulled out the exersaucer for Gouverneur and he has been really loving it. He sat and enjoyed the festivities.
We really debated what to get Little Man this year.
I thinks we totally score with this Lightning McQueen shake-and-go race track. (I love dad in this picture!)

I think turning 3 has been pretty good for the Little Man. He is such a darling boy and we love him. He is a great big brother. Dellin and Gouverneur adore him. He is growing up so fast but we are enjoying every minute of it.

Apple Picking

Once a month for joyschool, we do an outing. This week we went out to Homestead Farm to pick apples. We had a great time and came home with 20 lbs of yummy, crisp apples.

Dellin pretty much hung out in the cart the whole time eating apples which was fine with me since it was pretty muddy.
We all did lots of tasting. I mentioned this to the lady as we were paying and she said she would just need to weigh us to see what the cost of the eaten apples would be. Ha ha.
Gouverneur rode along in the Bjorn holding onto my key chain... Darling!
No farm is a farm without animals to look at.
What do you do with 20 lbs. of apples? Lots of stuff. I am currently making lots of apple chips using this yummy recipe. Pretty basic and totally delicious! I plan to make apple butter too but we'll see how far I get.
Apple picking is probably one of the BEST things about fall. We have done it every year and will probably go again this weekend with dad!

Amazon Mom

I just have to say how much I love amazon mom with amazon prime shipping. If you don't know what this is, go to Amazon and find out. I just found out a few months ago and I love it. It is the cheapest way to get the best diapers (and other necessities) delivered right to your front door. I have three boys in diapers, so this is very handy for me.

I will say that there is a downside to the whole deal. It makes it REALLY easy to order stuff. With just one little click you can have almost anything delivered to your front door for free in one to two days. I only order the necessities of course, but I could see how things could easily get out of control...

These five boxes were waiting on my doorstep Friday when I picked Sterling up for work. I think I might need to stick to only ordering diapers again.

I went to a baby shower on Saturday morning and Gouverneur got to come with me. I dressed him up and had to take a picture before we left because he looked so darling.

I love this boy!
