Some friends (thanks Ashlee) at church today gave the boys these sweet shades. The boys have been entertained all day with them.
Such cool kids.
Dellin gets a lot of help putting them on.
Yes those are sharks! Probably the coolest sunglasses ever. Sterling Henry is absolutely OBSESSED with sharks as of late so these have been a complete hit.

Building Museum
We love to get out and do stuff. We use to go to the zoo every Friday but that has been a bit tough with the cooler weather. We started going to museums on Fridays and that has been a lot of fun. We went to the National Building Museum today and it was a blast. We have done a lot in DC but there are still quite a few places we haven't been. The Building Museum has been on our list. It was worth it.
We met some friends there and pretty much hung out in the kid's play are the whole time. Perfect.
Tons of construction t0ys.Lots of fun little things for Dellin. He loved it.
Sterling and Matthew playing with the train table. Train tables are always a hit anywhere.
They had this cute little house.I am always impressed just how kid friendly DC really is. Come and visit with your kids and see for yourselves!

BIG BROTHER
To say that Dellin is obsessed with Sterling Henry would be a serious understatement. Dellin lives and breaths to be around his older brother and do EVERYTHING that he is doing. Most of the time they get along pretty great. Sterling Henry is getting much more patient with Dellin and is really starting to see how fun a little brother really can be.
The boys nap at the same time, thank goodness! Dellin usually wakes up before Sterling Henry and we get to spend a little time together. His favorite part about our time together is when he gets to go get Sterling Henry. Today we had to wake him up so that he would still sleep tonight. Dellin is seriously this excited everyday.

Too soon for spring you say?
This winter has been by far the LONGEST winter of my life. It has been longer and more miserable than the two I spent in Siberia, not to be too dramatic. We live in a 3rd floor walk-up apt and having two kids who both need to be carried sometimes and being pregnant has left us inside a lot. This also might be why I look like I am due week month instead of in 2 months. Anyway, blah blah blah, it has been a rough winter.
This last week has been pretty much the best week of my life. We have had the best weather. I swear spring has sprung early and we are enjoying every last second of it. We have gone to the zoo, the park and on walks everyday. We have hardly watched any shows and most importantly, I have finally been able to get some exercise. Next week they are forecasting snow but I have had an entire week of freedom and that is just what we needed. I know it will warm up eventually and I just needed this little reminder.
In my hurry to leave the house each day, I kept forgetting my camera. I finally remembered it for the park this morning.
Dellin loving the swings. The boys loving the swings together.
Jessica, Sterling's favorite person after dad, pushing Sterling and Matthew. Jessica is such a great friend. My boys adore her and we all know why. She is such a fun momma. She is having a baby girl soon and we are so excited to meet her.
Dellin riding some horse thing. This was seconds before he started sucking on this gross park toy... oh well!
Matthew and Sterling in the cars. Most of the parks here have lots of toys that people just drop off. The cars are always a hot item.We met a bunch of friends at the park today and it was so good to get together and sit around and talk while the kids ran wild.
I use to think it was crazy to live in places like Arizona and Texas but after this winter I totally get it.

BE MINE!
I hope you had a great Valentines Day. Ours was great. Most of the day I spent on the couch trying not to puke. The boys bug hit me yesterday and made for a interesting Valentines Day. I didn't make a fun breakfast or anything exciting for dinner. It didn't however stop me from making Chocolate Molten Cakes, which we have ever year and LOVE. I took quite a chance eating one, but it stayed down and I figured it was worth it either way!
Here they are. The presentation was not the greatest but seriously, who cares right?!? When something tastes that good, who cares how it looks. We also exchanged gifts. The boys got a pack of Dinosaur Train figurines. Sterling Henry is in heaven. He is obsessed with Dinosaur train and is thrilled to have his own "Buddy".
Sterling rocks in about every category. He is especially good at giving gifts. He always gets me the most thoughtful and awesome gifts. I know my gifts are never going to compare, but I still keep trying.
Case in point. He got a reusable lunch sack for work filled with Dove dark chocolate, his favorite. I got new scriptures. I have not taken scriptures with me to church since before Sterling Henry. Even though my church bag is about 10 times bigger, my scriptures somehow don't fit in it. I mentioned a few weeks ago that I would love a small set for church. He totally remembered and got them for me with my real name of them, Jessica Fillmore. (My old ones still say Jessica Hawkins on them.)
Most perfect gift EVER.
Best Valentines Day ever!

MORE BORSH PLEASE.
Today has been a lovely day.
We went to church this morning. The boys really love church. Sterling Henry is obsessed with nursery and comes home singing new songs each week.
One of us napped pantless and then spent the rest of the day Marky Mark style. Dellin crawls out of his pants all the time. He doesn't seem to mind. We don't either because he looks so cute!
The boys drank milk in bed with dad. They were more than thrilled since they have not had milk for three days. They both had the stomach flu on Thursday. I learned the hard way last year to hold off on giving them milk too soon.
I made Borsh for dinner tonight. I have been craving Borsh all week. Nothing goes better with Borsh than homemade rolls. I liked Borsh in Russia, but fell in love with it when I came home.I hope your Sunday was restful and tasty!

3 Boys.
Once a day or so I find myself thinking, "Am I really going to have 3 boys all under the age of 3... in May??" I realize that things are going to get crazy. There are a few things that trigger this thought.
I buy diapers for the month at the beginning of each month. I was laughing at this pile realizing it is going to DOUBLE with a new baby.
As I carry in the 4 gallons of milk that I know will only last for a few days. Luckily baby boy will hopefully nurse for a while.
We were lucky enough to have Matthew sleepover last night. Sterling Henry was in HEAVEN this morning when he woke up at realized his pal was here. My boys worship Matthew. We had a great time.
At one point last night, all three boys were up crying (thanks to Dellin). I handed Sterling Henry to his dad while I worked with Matthew, and then headed in to get the still screaming Dellin, I sat down to rock him and laughed for a second when I realized this is probably going to happen... A LOT!

Dellin's 1st Birthday Celebration
Dellin officially turned one of Saturday but we waited until Sunday to celebrate. We had Colby and Maria over for cake and ice cream. Sterling Henry wouldn't touch, taste, or even look at his 1st birthday cake so went a little more casual with Dellin and he loved it! Sterling Henry sang the whole birthday song to him... DARLING!
Here are the boys with Dellin's cake.Super excited face.
Me and my one-year-old!
He took nice bites like this till half of it was gone. I think no frosting was the way to go.
Colby and Maria gave him this darling bear. It is officially know as "Baby Bear" since Sterling Henry has one similar to it that is bigger. Thanks for coming and celebrating with us Colby and Maria.
We got him this walking Dino toy for his birthday since he is not walking. We put it all together and he would have to completely bend over to walk with it. A complete bust!I exchanged it for this darling shopping cart the next day and he has been pushing it around all day. He loves it!
Sterling Henry loves it as well. He puts Elmo and Grover up front and Daddy Bear and Baby Bear in the basket. I hear tons of "come on boys" all day now. I love that he calls them all "boys".
This is too classic. We got these for the boys for Christmas. Elmo is Sterling Henry's and Grover is Dellin's. I sort of think they look like this when they both ride in the front of the cart when we go to Costco. My "boys".Dellin also had his one year check-up yesterday. He remains long and lean. (Totally like me!)
Weight: 21.5 lbs (35%)
