Growing up!

The boys are growing up so fast. They change so much each day. I love being with them all the time and being able to see this first hand.

Dellin turned 15 months yesterday. I can't believe he is that old already. He is doing so much and makes us laugh all the time. He is starting to talk and can say, "ball, daddy, mommy, doggy, baba, car, baby, balloon," and many others that I am forgetting.

He loves being outside.

He loves to climb into or on top of all toys at the park.
He loves doing anything that his big brother is doing.

Sterling Henry is big time these days. He talks all the time and is getting real fun to have conversations with. We sing hymns each night before reading scriptures and he has really caught onto them. He can sing about 10 hymns on his own. Here he is singing, "Praise to the Man." His favorite.

We love our boys and love watching them grow up.

Baby Boy #3

Baby boy #3 will be here in just over three weeks or so. We are so excited that we can't even stand it! This pregnancy has flown by and he will be here so soon. I keep getting asked if I am ready for #3. I feel just as excited and ready for #3 as I did #1. I might even be a little more excited for this one. I realize that things are going to be crazy and everything is going to take more time and be a little harder, but I can't wait. This is what I have always wanted. Lots of kids close together. You are never going to here me complain about being able to have babies because it is a huge blessing. Yes, I have been pregnant for the last 3+ years straight and yes, I am tired but I wouldn't have it any other way.

There were a few things I needed to get done before he gets here.

1. New Onesies. I love new onesies. I sort of feel like each kid needs brand new white onesies that are bright and fresh. I also got some cute colored ones for the summer.

2. Binkies. I love the Nuk brand of binkies. I love getting new ones for the new baby. I couldn't resist these sport ones.

3. New blankets. Sterling Henry had tons of blankets and I only got a couple new ones for Dellin. Since this baby is going to be a spring/summer baby, I got some new lightweight ones. I LOVE the Aden and Anais brand. My aunt Pat gave me one when I had Sterling Henry and I have loved it. I got this 4-pack for baby boy since they will be great for summer. If you haven't tried them, they are amazing!
4. Baby quilt. I have made a baby quilt for each of my kids. Here is baby boy's quilt. I just need to get it quilted and we are done.
Basically this boy can come tomorrow and we are ready for him. We are so excited to meet baby boy!

Easter

This is the first year that the Easter bunny has come to our house and the boys loved it.

The boys have been wearing their Easter outfits for a few weeks but this is the first picture. I love my darling boys!

Dellin is so quick. He is always snatching stuff from Sterling Henry. This picture is a daily occurrence so I am happy to document it.
We had a great Easter. It was especially special having Jake and Tyra here with their family.

Jake and Tyra came to visit!

We have been so lucky to have so many visitors lately. My brother Jake and his family came to visit for the weekend. We had a great time! Sterling Henry and Dellin loved it. Sterling Henry called everyone "cousin" all weekend, even Jake and Ty.

We went and saw a lot while they were here. We went to the Dulles Air and Space Museum. The kids loved seeing the space shuttle. Here is Jake's cute family.

Hanging at our place. 7 kids in our tiny apartment was a bit hilarious. We loved it! They stayed at a hotel at night so we were happy to meet up with them each morning.

We spent Easter together. We had a Easter lunch before heading over to Arlington Cemetery to look around.
Jake and Tyra left after the cemetery and we were sad to see them go. Thanks for coming to see us. We can't wait to come up to New Jersey and see your place. We love and miss you!

Brandi and the girls

My SIL Brandi came to visit this last weekend and brought her darling girls Halle and Hunter. We had such a great time and were sad to see them go. The boys especially loved having the girls around. They got here late Friday night and left yesterday. We hit everything on their list. Here are some highlights.

The boys loved to run out in the mornings and see the girls first thing.

We went to Arlington Cemetery.

We did all the monuments at night. Here are the kids at the World War 2 memorial.

Mount Vernon. This was the hottest day they were here. It got up to 85 degrees.

We spent a lot of out time at Georgetown Cupcake. Each day they post a "secret" flavor of FB and if you order it by name, it's free. The first day we got 4 Salted Caramel cupcakes for free. By day 3 we had it figured out and walked out of there with 6 free cupcakes. We did buy a few as well so that we wouldn't look so pathetic. Georgetown Cupcakes are by far the best.

We went to the zoo. Sterling Henry took this picture of the girls.

Sterling Henry broke all the rules while they were here. He was always on the other side of the fence getting into trouble or running away. Brandi has lots of pictures of him on the run. Needless to say he ate his weight in fruit snacks to keep him in the stroller.

Dellin should win a prize for being the best behaved baby ever. He spent a lot of time in the stroller and never complained.
The boys loved having the girls read to them and build cool train tracks. Halle and Dellin.

Me and the girls. I totally am missing these girls today. They were so helpful and so much fun!

They even brought gifts. Brandi made this darling quilt for baby boy #3. I love it.

The girls were so silly and crazy and we loved every second of it. Here they are doing my favorite move.
It was fun to have girls outnumber the boys for once. Thank you so much for coming to see us. We had the best time and would love to have you back anytime. Thanks for putting up with our crazy boys and our tiny apartment.

We love you!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABE!

Today is Sterling's birthday. I love that he was born in April 6th, it is so fitting. I can still remember the first time I saw Sterling. It was at church when I was 19. Sterling was asked to share his testimony on the spot in sacrament meeting. He got up there with so much confidence. He had everyone laughing within seconds. It took us 5 years to start dating but we have never looked back. Ok to be completely honest, I would have married him 5 years sooner.

Sterling is a wonderful husband. He is the best father. I love this picture with Sterling Henry just minutes after he was born. I always knew Sterling would be a great husband and father. He has surpassed all my expectations. The boys are absolutely obsessed with him. It never really bothers me because I know exactly how they feel.

Love you babe. Happy Birthday!

Blossom Fest 2011

I know I always say this but we had the best weekend. Conference weekend is always amazing but this one was especially great. It started out a little rocky on Saturday morning with me having the stomach flu. I don't think I have ever been that sick before. Luckily Sterling was home and took care of the boys ALL DAY LONG. I felt better just before bedtime.
We made up for it on Sunday. We went on a long walk around Arlington Cemetery in the morning before conference started.

One of the many tulip trees in bloom at the cemetery.

We watched both sessions and then headed downtown in the evening to the cherry blossom festival to walk around. In the 5 years I have been here, I don't think they have ever looked with beautiful. Every single trees was completely covered with blossoms. The air smelled delicious!

We walked around the entire tidal basin. The boys were completely entertained by water, ducks, popcorn trees and lots of food.
Sterling and I were completely entertained by the same things plus all the dang sweet photo shoots going on. I have never seen so many girls dressed up and posing in the most unnatural poses. I wish we snapped some shots of them but you will just have to imagine how awesome they were.

Look at these trees.

There are blossoms everywhere.

General Conference + Blossom Fest 2011 = BEST WEEKEND EVER!

Belts, Binkys, and Babies

Sterling Henry is quite obsessed with belts as of late. It might have something to do with the fact that his dad has ordered 8 in the last 3 weeks. (Hey, a man needs a hobby). I'm not sure why Sterling Henry doesn't have a belt of his own yet, but that is on the schedule for this weekend. Find Little Man a belt!

I have been doing some necessary shopping for the new baby. While looking for new binkys, I realized that unless something changes, we are going to have 3 kids with binkys. Obviously I realize that is absolutely ridiculous. So all day yesterday I told Sterling Henry how he was a big boy now and big boys don't need binkys. I hid all his binkys and cut the top off one and showed it to him. I told him that the binky "broke". It totally worked! He went to bed with no fuss, and is napping right now as I type with no binky. I am crossing my fingers that this continues to be a smooth transition. I have mixed emotions about Little Man being a big boy.

My SIL Rachel sent the boys these cute shark shirts. She even sent one for baby #3. The boys actually LOVE the shirts but were a bit annoyed to be in this picture with me for some reason. I don't know how often I will have all three in the same outfits but it's really fun to think about 3 matching boys.
We are looking forward to conference weekend and lots of relaxing.
