SOME LIKE IT HOT!!!

There is only one thing that I really dislike about our apartment and that is the fact that we have no control over when they turn the AC on for the season. This last weekend was sweltering! We were so hot and there was absolutely no way to cool our place down.

One of us looks really cute shirtless so he sported only his diaper and shorts for most of the weekend!
Camo shorts. No shirt. His dad could not be more proud!!!

Luckily they turned on the AC this morning... YIPEE!!! We don't pay utilities so it will stay on full blast for the next 5 months!!!

We love it when Matthew comes over to play...

even if he is a Ute fan and wears it loud and proud.

After a few hours he decided he liked wearing blue! We think he looks cute in blue... it just might be his color.
If you have met Matthew's parents you would know they are hard-core Ute fans. I just couldn't resist putting Matthew in BYU attire!

Thanks for letting us watch Matthew! Little Sterling Henry really lights up when other kids are around.

Spring is absolutely BEAUTIFUL out here! We seriously cannot get enough of all the trees and plants that blossom. Here are a few that we saw on our walk today!

MY MOMMA!

The hardest part about having visitors come to visit, is that at some point, they leave. My momma left today and it was pretty hard to see her go. We had the best time while she was here.

We went to Monticello (Thomas Jefferson's home). This is one of the places my mom has always wanted to see so it was fun to take her there.

The tulips were in full bloom at Monticello and we loved it!

We celebrated Easter while she was here. (Not sure why I am so casually dressed for Easter dinner but whatever!)
Sterling Henry and grandma all dressed up. He was obviously very excited to have her here. Check out that grin!

We went up the the temple grounds and walked around. I love taking people to the DC temple for the first time because it is so beautiful!


We went down to Gunston Hall (George Mason's home). It was a beautiful day this morning and we had a great time.

This is out the back of the house. These bushes are the same ones that he planted and have been groomed to the look same ever since!


This is us before we took grandma to the airport. If you look real close little Sterling Henry has real tears. He is going to be so sad when he realizes his fun grandma has left.

6 MONTHS GOES BY TOO FAST!!!

Our little Sterling Henry is 6 months old and we can't even believe it! Here are his most recent stats.

Weight: 19lbs. 14oz (87%)
Height: 28.5 inches (97%)

Here is the latest with our baby.

He is the HAPPIEST baby. He has a smile on his face from the minute he gets up.
He is the best eater. He has LOVED everything he has tried.
He is OBSESSED with his dad.
He has two teeth and has proven to be a good teether.
He loves to play with anything that makes noise.
He can sit for a second by himself.
He has rolled over. He has only done it a handful of times since, but we have proof.
He LOVES to stand up on your lap.
He loves his morning bath time. He gets one EVERY morning.
He always calms down when we sing or whistle.
He is the BEST sleeper.
His laugh is the best sound we here all day. This usually happens the most when his dad is around.
He is so fun to take ANYWHERE.

And last but not least, he is an answer to our prayers and has made ALL our dreams come true! We love little Sterling Henry so much and cannot even remember our lives without him.

Visitors!!!

My sister Jen and my nephew Parker were here over the weekend and we had the best time! Here are some pics for proof!

We went to the National mall of Friday and went through the museums. Here are Parker and little Sterling with the dinosaurs.


The butterfly exhibit was amazing! We walked into this room filled full of butterflies, it was beautiful. There were over 350 butterflies in the room with us!


Friday night we went to Ray's Hell Burgers... DELICIOUS! The burgers were so yummy!


Saturday we went out to the Dulles Air and Space Museum.


Parker and Sterling went to the priesthood session together. Parker just turned twelve this year so it was pretty exciting. (his bag got lost on the way here)


The cherry blossoms were in full bloom! We went on a walk and had the best time!

On Sunday morning we went to Arlington cemetery! The trees looked beautiful!


Sunday night we went on a walk around the monuments.


And of course we managed to eat a Mr. Yogato everyday!!!! It was the best thing ever! Jen and Parker are obsessed. I am not sure what they will miss more... us or Mr. Yogato!


Sterling turned 31 yesterday and we had a little party! I made a delicious carrot cake and Sterling got Legos. Little Sterling Henry was pretty pumped for his dad to open the Legos.


He is already obsessed with Legos... his dad couldn't be more proud!!!

Thank you so much for coming Jen and Parker! We miss you so much! We had the best time! Come again... Mr. Yogato misses you!

Luckily my mom flew in last night or I would be extra lonely.
