9 MONTH PHOTO SHOOT!

My favorite photographer and good friend Andrea has done it again! She is amazing in every way. I just got these back this afternoon and I have been going crazy over them. I love them. They are perfect. Thanks Andrea!

Enjoy.

This is Sterling Henry's favorite book. We read this book over and over all day long. I LOVE it!

Can you believe this little guy is actually going to be a big brother??? He still is so small and such a baby. Good thing he has 6 months!

EASY TO ENTERTAIN

I was telling Sterling the other day that I think Sterling Henry needs new toys because he seems bored with his. After a few days, I realized that he is completely entertained by the things we have. He has even found new uses for things we use everyday.

My favorite is his new chew toy. Three new teeth in one week has been tough. But with the help of these pink sandals, he cut the teeth pretty quick. Sort of gross but he really likes it.

This is his new smile when we get out the camera. We CLEARLY take a lot of pictures of this kid! (But with that cute face, how can we not?)

We put him down for a nap yesterday and heard him laughing, we walked in to find him standing like this.
We decided it was time to lower his crib. He still can stand up but hopefully he won't fall out!

GETTING CLOSER!

Missing these people. (And the rest of you not pictured!)

Dreaming of this.

LESS MESS

Since we have a tiny apartment I don't do a lot of projects, but when I do, you will know about it! This shelving area below was one of my favorite things about our place. It was so nice and bright and I loved it. There has always been one major issue with it, DUST! Every time I would go to use anything, it was covered in dust. Dusting everything was a complete mess. Toddlers loved it as you can imagine. Sterling Henry has started pulling himself up on it and then trying to pull everything off. I would want to do the same thing if I were a kid, I think!

I have been looking for something to replace it with, but I needed it the exact same height, with doors (to take care of the dust problem) and a drawer to put mail and bills in (as you can see they pile up on the top of it and it looks really cluttered).

I found this little gem at Ikea, and it was exactly what I was looking for. I wasn't sure of the color at first, but now I love it! It takes care of all my issues that I had with the other one. Sterling Henry has not even really touched it either. I know that won't always be the case, but for now it is perfect!
You are all welcome to dinner now that I don't have to wash dust off all those plates!

SUNDAY BLISS

A guy in our ward snapped this picture of Sterling Henry during Elders Quorum. I love this picture for so many reasons. The main reason I love it is because I know how long my cute hubby has waited to have a little baby to take to EQ with him.

By the way, I LOVE Sundays (especially now that my dreaded talk is over). I love everything about them. I know people say "wait till he gets older and it will get harder." I am pretty sure that I am going to love them always!

9 MONTHS ALREADY???

Today our little cub turned 9 months, and we can't even believe it. He is in the best stage, we honestly cannot imagine how he could get any cutter. The boy is a charmer! We LOVE taking him places and still fight over who gets to hold him during priesthood/relief society. (dad usually wins.)

He had his 9 month check-up today and he is healthy as can be. Our regular pediatrician left the practice, so we tried a new doc today and LOVED her. She was very impressed with his eating, sleeping, napping, drinking, teething, pretty much everything that he does. I sat there beaming... THANKS DOC!

Here are his new stats.

WEIGHT: 22 lbs 11 oz (78%)
HEIGHT: 31 inches (95+ %)
CUTENESS: (99+ %)

I figured today we would celebrate his 9 month with a Toostie Pop. Actually I didn't buy it for him, the guy at 7-11 gave it to him. (they really like us there.) He thought Sterling Henry was definitely old enough to eat it. I thought I would give him a couple licks and then throw it out. Yeah right, he wouldn't let go of it. It was a sad 9 month birthday when I had to rip it out of his hands to throw it away! Luckily he was quickly distracted with the graham crackers that replaced it.

We love our little Sterling Henry and cannot imagine our lives without him!

LET FREEDOM RING!

I think it is safe to say that the 4th of July is one of the best holidays we have. I love it for so many reasons. My family had so many traditions on the 4th, and I really want my own little family to have some as well. When I was young I could always count on our cul-de-sac BBQ (which was always held in my yard), some sort of water fight, and going to my grandparents to watch the fireworks on their front lawn.

This year was a blast. We spent the entire day with friends. Being away from family, we really feel like we rely more on the great friends we have in the area.

We got up early and went to our ward breakfast which turned out to be a lot of fun. We went to a BBQ in the evening and stuffed ourselves with delicious food. We ended the evening by walking down to the Iwo Jima Memorial and watching the fireworks over the Potomac. There is something magical about fireworks! Little Sterling Henry enjoyed the show but sort of freaked out during the grand finale when everyone started clapping.

During the day we hung out and watched Sterling Henry pull himself up on things (with a little help). He is getting so big and strong!

The Iwo Jima Memorial was PACKED! We got there just minutes before the fireworks started and had great seats!!!

Sterling Henry loved watching the show with his dad.

Still loving it...

I am obsessed with this picture! I LOVE pictures with fireworks in the background and this is the first of many for our family! (plus, check out Little Man's face... ADORABLE!!)

I hope the 4th will be as memorable to my kids as it is to me!

THE CRAWLER

Sterling Henry has figured out how to "crawl." He gets around all over the place and is starting to get into EVERYTHING! I honestly have to say that I actually like him getting into things. I know there might hit a point where I don't but for now... I LOVE IT!

Here he is in action...
